About Me

I started flute at nine years old with the ole generalized band teacher. At the time, I had a choice between choosing clarinet and flute. Flute was chosen for me by said band teacher. I would love to say I had such a passion for flute that no other instrument could compare. However, I loved the sound of the French Horn too. Today I am grateful for my former band teacher’s decision when I could not make it myself.

Since those early days of just blowing into the headjoint, I have had a wonderful experience playing with many wonderful players and groups. My teachers have been encouraging, knowlegeable, and focused. You will see my list of teachers on the next page. You may not have heard of them, but two come from the French School of Flute while it was under the tutelege of Marcel Moyse and Jean Pierre Rampal. I still love to play flute and play in various groups in the area. I am currently planning to put on a solo performance in the near future. I would love to pass the love of music onto others as an instructor and performer.
